We've all heard over and over 'Equality in Relationships' is the way forward!

As relationship coaches since the early noughties, we can assure you that 'Equality' is actually one of the two biggest relationship killers.

Sure, logically, equality is fair and sensible but only at the surface level; deeper down, it simply does not work.

But why would we say that?

Well, it's simple, equality leads to unhealthy compromise, which leads to confusion and disconnection, all of which stress us out.

And you, in a state of stress, cannot be loving in a relationship; because it's impossible to experience stress and love at the same time!

And while we all know 'Stress' is at the root of the most significant diseases we physically die of, it also kills relationships on mass.

Think about it:

When you are stressed, what are you like to be around? Are you lovable? Are you kind and caring? What's the truth - is your focus on you or your partner?

Put simply, the stressed you is NOT the real you; it's what we call the 'Emergency You.'

Striving for equality puts us in 'Emergency Mode', and the result of being bombarded with the equality message is:

Men on mass have become more feminine, and women on mass have become more masculine, and when this happens in a relationship, love and connection are lost.

The truth is there is no such thing as an inconsequential lie, and it is a lie equality in relationships actually works; it's a line we are being fed.
